Our "hottest salsa dance floor in Havana", Salsa club Salseando Chévere was established in 2008 and renown among Cuban style salsa lovers all over the world.
Pedro Rodriguez Diaz, the founding father of our salsa club, had the dream to keep salsa alive in his beautiful country Cuba.
Nowadays young Cubans tend to listen and dance to, for example, reggaeton. Pedro felt that salsa is part of Cuba's heritage and should be kept and cherished for generations to come and also for those, who live worldwide, to feel how real Cuban salsa looks and most of all feels. Now the salsa club is appreciated by Tripadvisor as the number one salsa place to be in whole of Havana, and maybe even in the whole of Cuba!

Club Salseando Chévere has a great stage and a weekly program with dance groups, bands and DJ's. Are you traveling to Cuba and would you like to feel how it is like to perform for a Cuban and International public and show your salsa DJ skills? Havana Plus 16-30 oktober 2011
Wat een supervakatie! Ik ben al 3 dagen thuis, maar moet nog steeds de vele indrukken verwerken... en mijn spierpijn! ;-)
Ik heb het ervaren als een dans-bootcamp. We hebben superveel dansuren gemaakt, tijdens de lessen overdag en bijna dagelijks met het stappen. Naar een matinee, concert of bijvoorbeeld "1830", waar de dansvloer buiten is. Heerlijk dansen in de buitenlucht en dan nog zweten! "Mucho callor an Havana"
En elke woensdag een knalfeest met de dansers van viadanza/Chevere die een prachtige dansshow neerzetten met Salsa, Flamenco, Rumba, Son en daarna iedereen uitnodigen op de dansvloer.
We hebben echt een hoop beleefd in een korte tijd. Zoals die super concerten die we in de eerste week hebben gezien;
Los VanVan, Bamboleo, Havana d'Primera en Manolito.
Tussen het dansen en feesten door hebben we nog een paar daagjes 'vrij' gehad en genoten op het strand bij Havana. Ook daar weer livemuziek op het strand. Ja, puur genieten en heerlijk zwemmen in die tropische zee.
Ojah, en niet te vergeten de Poolparty met het hele team. Dit was het afscheidsfeest! AGUA!
Het is heerlijk bijkomen van deze topvakantie met het bekijken van de foto's en filmpjes op internet en de DVD. Zonder twijfel zijn mijn danstechnieken met stappen vooruit gegaan en dit ga ik van het weekend dan ook laten zien op de dansvloer. We hebben met het grootste deel van de groep afgesproken om te gaan stappen in Amsterdam en Antwerpen. Leuk hoor, zo heb ik er in 1x weer een leuke groep salsa vriendjes en vriendinnetjes bij.
Tot een volgende keer. Dit wil ik zeker nog eens doen!
